16/12/2003 - Kuala Lumpur
Have been in KL for 6 nights, too comfortable to move away from the 4-star hotel Jill had to book. Very luxurious with all the facilities you’d want. Except of course, they’re at 4-star prices (not part of our budget) so we don’t eat here except breakfast, we make do with 1 bed, don’t have drinks, use the Internet or call on the laundry service. All far too much above street prices! Also impressive is our view, we look out onto the world’s tallest building, The Petronas Towers. Very impressive. And, a very good looking building. Can’t go to the top but we went to the Skybridge joining the 2 towers. The surrounding area is great also, a shopping mall, food hall, and park with kids’ paddling pool area and huge kids’ playground. The kids love it. Haven’t seen as much of Malaysia as planned. Jill needed a slower pace from Thailand and greater comfort. Tonight we’re moving on to Singapore for 3 nights ready to catch our flight to Bali for Christmas, so this is our last day in Malaysia. |
