Thailand is said to be the land of smiles and that’s certainly been true for us, and they love the kids. Ben in particular is centre of attention where ever we go. Just off the plane people wanted to touch him and play with him. He’s been propositioned several times, likened to Michael Owen the footballer and besieged like a pop star. Of course he’s having none of it. In fact downright rudely shuns the attention. Leala seems to be enjoying the attention and is soaking up the whole Thailand experience as are Jill and I. We’ve travelled several thousand kilometres by bus, train, boat, jeep, bike, tuk-tuk, bamboo raft and elephant. At times the scenery is breathtaking, the heat stifling, the food irresistible, the driving deplorable, the smells overwhelming and the smiles disarming.
