Just watched the sun go down from our beachside island resort. Undecided where to be for Leala’s birthday we chose a couple of days idling on Ko Sukorn. Very uncommercialised. A couple of relatively basic bungalow resorts. Jill thinks we’ve chosen the best after her walk across the island today. Splurged out on a private transfer from Trang town, by people-carrier and long-tailed boat. Just us; like VIP’s. Arrived on the beach, waded through gently lapping surf, bags taken for us, short walk to reception and awaiting drink. Fantastic! The kids love it. Loads of beach toys to play with and some boats to paddle, free beach chairs and parasol too. For Leala’s birthday we’ve arranged a cake with the chef. She also has had her hair braided. And we’ve bought her a sarong and bandana. She looks a real hippy chick.
