Back from the North of Thailand and have had another night in Bangkok. Jill likes it here, it's comfortable and familiar, and she can see Jo, her friend, again. The kids love it too because it's got a pool which they have almost to themselves. Arrived at 07:00 on the overnight train yesterday morning, had pre-booked a room at the same hotel as before and were in our room by 09:00. Wow! Were expecting to have to wait round 'til atleast 12:00. I went out on my own yesterday looking to fix my computer and to find somewhere to watch the rugby. The computer centre I found was immense, a huge shopping mall complex six storeys high filled entirely of computer and techno retailers. Unfortunately didn't manage to get the computer fixed. Would cost GBP90 and they needed it for 3-5 days. However I did manage to watch the rugby, England v. France semi-final. Found reference to a londoner pub in my guide book and got there with only 4 minutes of the match gone.
