I’m in the country Mickey Mouse lives, America. I went to his house and had a photo taken with him. He has a big park with lots of fun rides and things to play on, and all his friends are there too. I met Minnie, Pluto and Goofy, hugged Pooh Bear, Tigger and Eeyore, and saw Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story. Buzz had a fight with the Evil Emperor Zurg. It was really fun. We spent all day in the park. I can’t remember going home, I must’ve fallen asleep. We went to another fun park where they make films I watch on TV. I met Shrek and Spiderman, and I showed Spiderman my new flashing Spiderman shoes. I had a ride in a special flying car that went inside a dinosaur’s mouth. A really bumpy ride! There were some very scary things: a big shark tried to eat the train I was riding, and a big gorilla made a helicopter crash, and in one room there was lots of fire and loud bangs and it was very hot. I was shaking. I’ve been to other parks in America, called National Parks. These don’t have fun things to play on but have amazing things to see. One park, the Grand Canyon is an enormous hole in the ground, bigger than the town we live in. It takes a day to walk to the bottom, days to walk from one side to the other and weeks to walk from one end to the other. It’s big! I didn’t do too much walking though. Another park, I saw the biggest trees in the world, Giant Sequoia. They’re not the tallest or the widest but the biggest, tall and wide together. They are also very old. The biggest tree is called General Sherman and is about 3,200 years old. There was snow in this park and my sister and me made snowballs and used our surfboard as a sledge. My mum felt down a hole through the snow and fell flat on her face. We laughed.
